4th May - Doug Brockfield: The First Anzacs

Doug is an amateur historian who follows WW1. He was at Albany last November 1st when the commemoration of the first convoy was
reenacted. There were 28 Australian ships and 10 NZ ships, with 2 Navy escorts and a Japanese. They carried 20,000 troops, Nurses and 7,800 horses. The 2nd convoy left on Dec 31st 1914. Among these troops were Sir John Monash (and my grandfather & Great Aunt) Doug soke and also showed a DVD of the commemoration
