Patti addressed our club, and likened it to “home” as she and Lance have visited on numerous occasions over the years. Patti thanked the Board members for meeting with her along with Assistant Governor Bernie Bott prior to our dinner meeting.

Assistant Governor Bob Bott explained the "Shine-On Awards", encouraging the club to get involved in both, sponsoring nominees and in the organisation of this year's ceremony

7th October:  Robert Purtle - Tunzafun

Guest Speaker  Robert Purtle spoke about the Mulwala Progress Association and Tunzafun Community Group’s decision to purchase the land for $500,000.


October: 14th: Heather Kelly - Yarrawonga Neighborhood House

Heather Kelly, Executive Officer, gave a brief talk about YNH, its origins and its programmes.
It started in 1988 in a couple of Halls and moved to the present site in 1989 with 1 person working 15hrs /week.


Adventure Playground - Caitlyn Cummins

Guest Speaker Caitlyn Cummins – Manager Community Health Centre – spoke about the proposed Adventure Playground. Caitlyn told how she sees, as an Occupational Therapist assessing about 100 prep children each year, she sees children who don’t have the physical co-ordination gained by challenging outdoor play. She proposes an All Abilities/Ages playground to be possibly situated on the foreshore.



May 19th: Jenny Dight

Jenny Dight spoke about her recent trip to East Timor. A small group of 9 including Rotarians from Noble Park(9810) and Dandenong (9820) and herself (9790) spent 10 days there after raising money to send a DIK container of school furniture, household goods, stationery and a 10kv generator. There was money over to put to 2 projects as well. Thanks to the R.C. of Yarrawonga Mulwala for their contribution of $3000.

April 28th - Dr. Josie Bourne

Clyde introduced our guest speaker, Josie Bourne who is currently an intern at Clyde's practice with the Murray to Mountains program. Josie spoke about her career in the armed services as a Platoon Commander, appropriate considering Anzac Day was on Friday just gone.


31st March, Alf Armstrong - The Hilltop Centre

Alf and Peter gave a presentation about “Hilltop” the Carer Centre in Albury.


3rd March - Community Police

March 3rd - Community Involvement in local policing
The two Police members spoke about how the community can assist them. 


David Cooke - Polio Plus

PDG David Cooke spoke about the history of Polio and its (almost) eradication, thanks to Rotary's Polio Plus Program


11th November - The Virtual Health Club

Terry Welch and Elaine Mallows

Terry thanked the Club for their support of the Community Car and then showed details of the services provided by YH. Among theses is the Video link which is so successful that all other hospitals in Hume Region will be similarly linked.


Last week 28th October - Return of the Treckers

The Kokoda Team presented their photos and each spoke of their experiences during the expedition. 
Each student told of a day on the Trek.  


21st October - Janet Schwartz, Sun Country Movie Club

Janet  explained their plans to show late release films, free to members, in the Community Hall
