4th December - Peter Bennett

Rotarian Peter Bennett is on the committee of management of the community cars. In 2011-12 the hospital decided it was not their job to maintain and organise the transporting of patients to larger centres for medical treatment, so in 2013 funds were raised from Rotary $15K , MAH care $15K and Moira shire$31K. It is very much a regional service coordinated from two main centres, Albury and Shepparton.

11th September, Robyn O'Connor- Homelessness

As Case Manager with Yarrawonga Health, Robyn heads up the support for homelessness in Yarrawonga for 3 days and Cobram for 2 days per week. Her task is to identify issues and what specialist support is required for those that come to her. She assists people to connect to what is needed, be it hospital, counselling, housing etc.

26th June Christy and Garry Warrendar

Parents of our Rotary Exchange student Halle, who is presently in Germany. 
Halle left Australia last January and will return next January. Christy and Garry are extremely happy with the whole event. Halle did her own research re being an overseas exchange student and all of the options that are available.

Jan 23 - “Member Behind the Badge”, Peter Viner.

Born in Adelaide , his parents had a large furniture removal business and he was actually driving trucks at the age of 14. Had a long career in the IT Industry. Joined the RC of Adelaide South, experienced the Presidents position twice.  Now retired, caravanning has become the main activity for he and Cheryl. Moved to Yarrawonga where their daughter also resides. Lots of caravanning has been done and more is planned.

Rob has been involved with the Portsea Camp over the last 6 years, starting with escorting the children on transport to and from the camp to becoming a Childrens Counsellor and helping run activities at the camp. Our young guest speakers delivered great presentations.
